Historic Lincoln

I finally got my two Final Major Projects from year 3 scanned and pieced together.
The illustrations show what both the Roman Forum and High Bridge would have looked during their respective time periods.

The Roman structure required more speculation as the only remains are those at ground level. You can still see the base of the columns marked in the pavement in Lincoln's castle district.

Highbridge was built much earlier than pictured in the illustration. Originally a Ford in the river, the Normans constructed a single arched bridge. The Tudor housing and shops were constructed in 1540 (date shown) opposite a way-sidechapel dedicated to Thomas Beckett.

Year 3 - 'Hap hazardous Hobbits'

I was tasked with no.39 in the Illustration Graduation book. There were a couple of different subjects I could have used for 39, but I felt like enjoying a silly idea. So, I decided to choose the obscure fact that Frodo falls over 39 during the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I'm also a big fan of Tolkien's work so this was a really fun project for me!

Year 3 - Topman T-shirt Brief

The brief was to choose a subject which interests you, and develop 3 applicable designs for use on t-shirts. I of course, chose Japanese Mecha since re-watching the entirety of Neon Genesis Evangelion and Eureka Seven which are both classics of the genre. I had so much fun designing these as its what I usually doodle during my free time, so I thought I'd put my practice to good use.

Lincoln Legionnaires

This design was created in conjunction with the Topman T-shirt Brief that was given during the latter half of year 3. Despite being different from the other designs, this will definitely receive application on the University's recently formed Paintball Team's new set of playing clothes (jerseys).

Year 3 - White Stripes Poster

A quick design idea for a poster advertising The White Stripes famous show in the Amazon Theatre in Brazil. The brief itself was to choose from a selection of artists associated with XL Records, and produce a poster for said artist.

The Evolution of Jak.

These 3 character profiles show the evolution of a single soldier in the events of a Tabletop Roleplay set in the ominous Warhammer 40k universe. My character continued customisation until he was completely my own, even down to personality. The adventures he had (with other character too) would make a great story for a graphic novel, which I am still deliberating but plan on attempting in the future!

Year 3 - Castle Sketches

These sketches were drawn to get myself back into historical architecture, in preparation for my Final Major Project where I plan to illustrate reconstructions of various old buildings found around Lincoln. The buildings shown here are made completely up based on my many visits to different historical sites in the past.
